Mingke Song, PhD; Postdoctoral Research Fellow
MS. Tongji Medical College of HuazhongUniversity of Science and Technology.
PhD. Neuropharmacology, Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, ChineseAcademy of Sciences.
Minke’s PhD thesis focused on the inhibitory mechanisms of neuronal potassium channel blockers discovered by computational virtual screening. Currently, he is investigating synaptic plasticity and tissue repair in wild type and gene knockout mice under physiological and pathological conditions. His research involves examinations of cell death mechanism after ischemic stroke and stem cell therapy using human iPS and ES cells and other stem cells. He is also interested in cell death mechanism of human glioblastoma cells and the development of novel treatments.
